💗 Stuff We Love 💗
A couple weeks ago, I promised I’d tell you about that menopause thriller audiobook when I got a chance to listen — and here I am, delivering on that promise because I devoured it.
The Change by Kristen Miller is an absolute romp. The story features three women in a beach town who become friends in mid-life and bond over their rage around misogyny. The book doesn’t dwell on menopause, but it’s clear that this transition is the marker that leads the women to lose their patience with workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, and violence against women. But their hackles are not just up; they’re out for revenge.
If your misogyny rage-o-meter is through the roof, this book will be a cathartic read. I especially enjoyed it as an audiobook and thought January LaVoi narrated with incredible skill and nuance.
What other feminist thrillers should I check out? Let me know in the comments!
Okay, that’s all for now!
XO, Hillary
